About this Project
The Atlanta Streetcar is expected to catalyze growth and development, draw new transit riders, reduce automobile dependency, and provide myriad other benefits to the City and its residents. The Atlanta Downtown Improvement District, in partnership with AREA Research and the Georgia Institute of Technology Center for Geographic Information Systems, has developed a system for evaluating this progress. The ultimate goal is to quantify the benefits associated with investment in and development of the Atlanta Streetcar, and to help inform decision-making about its future and the future of transit in the Atlanta region.
